The church features three naves with side chapels in Gothic style, except for one Renaissance chapel that adds architectural diversity to the structure.
Built between 1485 and 1499, the church underwent substantial modifications in 1665, incorporating early modern architectural elements into its original Gothic design.
Four penitential brotherhoods reside in the parish, maintaining religious traditions through their artistic images and ceremonial activities throughout the year.
