Far de l'Albir, Mediterranean lighthouse in l'Alfàs del Pi, Spain
The lighthouse stands 50 meters above sea level with a white cylindrical tower that guides ships along the Costa Blanca coastline.
Construction of the lighthouse began in 1863 to enhance maritime safety, serving as a crucial navigational aid for vessels in the Mediterranean Sea.
The lighthouse forms part of the Serra Gelada Natural Park, integrating maritime heritage with environmental conservation efforts of the Valencia region.
Visitors can reach the lighthouse via a 2.5-kilometer paved path that accommodates wheelchairs and strollers, with multiple rest areas along the route.
The structure houses an interpretation center displaying maritime artifacts and photographs documenting the evolution of coastal navigation in the area.
