Château d'Antigny, Medieval castle in Antigny-le-Château, Côte-d'Or, France.

The castle exhibits a diamond-shaped layout with a 15th-century round tower at its southern point and thick defensive walls from the 12th century.

The first mention of Château d'Antigny dates to 1116 with Lord Eudes of Antigny, followed by ownership changes through noble families until 1923.

American art historian Royall Tyler and his wife Elisina transformed the castle into an intellectual center, hosting writers and scholars between 1923 and 2003.

The castle remains private property with restricted access, though its exterior remains visible from the nearby village of Antigny-le-Château.

The French-style garden divides into six equal sections surrounded by trimmed shrubs, complementing the architectural elements of the property.
