Hanlan's Point Stadium, Baseball stadium on Toronto Islands, Canada
The concrete and steel structure on Hanlan's Point featured covered bleachers, a quarter-mile cycling track, and direct access from Toronto harbor by ferry.
The stadium opened in 1897 as the home field for Toronto Maple Leafs baseball club, replacing their previous location at Sunlight Park near Don River.
The venue hosted both professional baseball games for the International League and traditional matches of the Tecumseh Lacrosse Club throughout its operation.
The stadium provided seating for 18,000 spectators with admission costing 50 cents, which included return ferry transportation across Toronto Bay.
Baseball legend Babe Ruth hit his first professional home run at this stadium on September 5, 1914, sending the ball into Toronto Harbor.
