Rotonda

The Rotonda in Voronezh is a partially ruined structure featuring eight tall columns that support a concrete dome and mark the remains of a former hospital building. The walls are constructed from brick and reinforced concrete, giving visitors a sense of the original building's form.

This structure was built in the 1930s as part of the Voronezh Regional Clinical Hospital. It suffered heavy damage during the 1942 battles of World War II when the city faced intense bombardment and fighting.

Locals view this ruin as a place to remember the destruction from World War II and what the city endured. People often stop here to reflect on how the war shaped Voronezh.

This site is located in central Voronezh at the intersection of 45th Division Street, Transport Street, and Burdenko Street. The ruins are accessible on foot and can be viewed from the surrounding area.

This is the only standing part of the original hospital complex, as other buildings were demolished after the war. The structure underwent restoration work in 2020 to preserve its distinctive form.
