St Peter's Seminary, Catholic seminary in Cardross, Scotland
The modernist concrete structure sits among trees near Cardross, featuring distinctive angular formations and large glass surfaces across multiple levels.
The seminary opened in 1966 after a previous facility in Bearsden burned down in 1946, operating for only 14 years due to declining priest numbers.
Architects Gillespie, Kidd & Coia designed the seminary with Brutalist elements, making it a significant example of post-war Scottish architecture.
The structure remains closed to visitors due to safety concerns, as decades of exposure to weather and vandalism have damaged its concrete surfaces.
The Kilmahew Education Trust acquired the building in 2020 with plans to transform it into creative spaces including a recording studio and restaurant.
