Provand's Lordship, Medieval house museum in Townhead, Scotland
The stone building rises three stories high with a western extension, featuring period furniture and decorative elements that showcase medieval Scottish architecture.
Built in 1471 as part of St Nicholas's Hospital by Bishop Andrew Muirhead, this structure stands as the oldest residential building in Glasgow's center.
The museum displays a collection of 17th-century Scottish furniture donated by Sir William Burrell, representing domestic life from medieval times.
Located at Castle Street opposite Glasgow Cathedral, the museum offers free entry and opens daily from 10:00 AM, with later starts on Fridays and Sundays.
Recent £1.6 million renovations included the application of lime harling finish to the exterior walls, improving moisture control through traditional methods.
