St Stephen's Church, Category A listed church in New Town, Edinburgh, Scotland
St Stephen's Church stands at the bottom of St Vincent Street, featuring a clock tower that reaches a height of 162 feet with stone architecture.
The church, constructed between 1827 and 1828, was designed by Scottish architect William Henry Playfair as part of Edinburgh's New Town development project.
The building now houses the Edinburgh Festival Ballet, its School, and the MGA Academy, serving as a center for performing arts education.
The structure includes multiple floors with a gallery level accessed from Howe Street and several halls equipped with stages for performances.
The clock tower contains the longest pendulum in Europe, contributing to the precise timekeeping mechanism of this nineteenth-century church.
