St. Emmeram's Abbey, Benedictine monastery in Regensburg, Germany.

The monastery complex consists of multiple buildings with a parish church, now known as St. Emmeram's Basilica, featuring Romanesque architecture with three aisles.

Founded in 739 at the grave of Saint Emmeram, the monastery gained status as an Imperial abbey in 1295, becoming independent from the local bishopric.

The monastery's scriptorium developed into a significant center of book production and illumination during the Early Middle Ages of German history.

The former monastic buildings now function as Schloss Thurn und Taxis, serving as the primary residence of the Thurn und Taxis princely family.

The monastery houses the burial sites of several historical figures, including Saint Emmeram, Saint Wolfgang, and Emma, Queen of the East Franks.
