St Magnus Church, 12th century church ruin in Egilsay, Scotland.

The stone structure consists of a rectangular nave, a chancel at the east end, and a prominent round tower at the west end.

Earl Magnus Erlendsson was murdered near this location in 1116 during a conflict with Earl Hakon over the control of Orkney.

The round tower design shows connections with similar structures found in northern Germany and other North Sea regions, indicating Norse architectural influences.

The church site requires reaching Egilsay island by ferry service from Tingwall on the Orkney Mainland.

The round tower originally reached 20 meters in height and contained five separate floors connected by internal staircases.
