St Michael's Church, Stretton en le Field

The sandstone church structure features a medieval spire, a west tower, a chancel, and a north aisle with square brick tile flooring.

Dating from January 1301, the church underwent construction phases through different periods, with the tower added in the 15th century.

The interior displays late eighteenth-century box pews, carved grotesque figures, and an alabaster grave slab commemorating Richard Savage from 1489.

The church opens daily from 10 AM to 4 PM, situated five miles southwest of Ashby-de-la-Zouche and one mile north of M42 Junction 11.

The chancel arch contains wooden construction with stucco finish that creates the appearance of stone materials.
