Sant'Atanasio, Renaissance church in Campo Marzio district, Rome, Italy

The church features a Latin cross layout with a single nave, side chapels, and twin bell towers topped with small domes on its facade.

Pope Gregory XIII commissioned the church in 1580, and construction was completed by architect Martino Longhi the Elder in 1583 to serve the Greek College.

The church follows Byzantine rites and conducts masses in Greek, Albanian, Romanian, Hungarian, Slavic languages, and Arabic for Eastern Catholic communities.

The church stands on Via del Babuino, near the Spanish Steps, and contains frescoes by Francesco Traballesi and Cavalier d'Arpino in its side chapels.

The church incorporates a trefoil floor plan with three apses, making it one of the few Roman structures directly influenced by Eastern architectural design.
