Kana Garden, Botanical garden in Teradanawa, Hiratsuka, Japan
Kana Garden spans across 92,000 square meters of land featuring water lily ponds, rose collections, and diverse plant exhibits throughout its grounds.
The garden opened in March 2010 on the former location of the Kanagawa Prefectural Agricultural Research Institute through a public-private partnership initiative.
The garden incorporates design elements inspired by Czech writer Karel Čapek and includes an exhibition mirroring the Karel Čapek Garden in Prague.
Visitors can reach the garden by taking buses from Hiratsuka Station on the JR Tokaido Main Line or Hadano Station on the Odakyu Electric Railway.
The name Kana combines the Japanese words for flower (Ka) and vegetable (Na), selected through a public naming competition.
