The Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem Church displays classical architecture with symmetrical proportions, white columns, and a central dome rising above Irkutsk's skyline.
Built with funds from merchant Mikhail Sibiryakov between 1792 and 1795, the church underwent major reconstruction in 1820 and received additional wings in 1890.
The church serves as a regional cultural heritage site, representing the architectural development of religious buildings in Eastern Siberia during the early 19th century.
Located at 15 Bortsov Revolyutsii Street, the church opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and stands within walking distance of Irkutsk Central Market.
The building functioned as a cultural college from 1931 until 2000, when it returned to its original religious purpose following extensive restoration work.
