Spasskaya Tower, Fortified tower at Kolomna Kremlin, Russia
The Spasskaya Tower stands 24 meters tall with five levels and features a gallery on the sixth floor with swallow-tail shaped battlements.
Russian craftsmen completed the construction of this defensive structure between 1525 and 1531 as part of the Kolomna fortress expansion project.
The tower received its name from the neighboring Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, which no longer exists due to demolition during the Soviet period.
The tower walls measure 2.9 meters thick at the base and narrow to 1.85 meters at the top, demonstrating medieval engineering techniques.
Four of the seven remaining towers of Kolomna Kremlin share identical architectural designs, including the Yamskaya, Simeonovskaya, and Pogorelaya towers.
