Harmony Mill No. 3, Cotton textile factory in Cohoes, United States.

Harmony Mill No. 3 extends 1,100 feet in length and features mansard roofs, ornamental towers, and Victorian architectural elements throughout its structure.

Constructed between 1866 and 1872, the mill operated with 130,000 spindles and 2,700 looms, becoming the largest cotton manufacturing facility in the United States.

The workforce demographics shifted from Irish women to French Canadian immigrants by 1880, reflecting the changing social patterns of industrial labor.

The former industrial complex now houses 340 residential loft apartments, offering modern living spaces while maintaining original wood floors and cast iron columns.

During initial construction, workers discovered a prehistoric elephant skeleton, leading to the building's nickname as the Mastodon Mill.
