San Pietro in Montorio - Cappella Raimondi

The church features a circular Tempietto in its courtyard, designed by Donato Bramante with seventeen Doric columns surrounding a central cella.

Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain funded the reconstruction of this church built upon a 9th-century structure, marking the traditional site of Saint Peter's crucifixion.

The interior contains works from 16th-century masters, including Sebastiano del Piombo's Flagellation and several frescoes from Michelangelo's artistic circle.

Visitors can access the church through the Janiculum Hill, with regular opening hours during mornings and afternoons except on Mondays.

The Raimondi Chapel, created by Bernini, contains Francesco Baratta's statue of Saint Francis and serves as the resting place for Irish chieftains.
