Frenchman's Cove Beach

Frenchman's Cove Beach is a sand beach in Port Antonio where a river from the Blue Mountains flows directly into the Caribbean Sea. The bay curves gently, creating a sheltered swimming area fed by both fresh and salt water.

The name comes from an 18th-century naval battle when British forces defeated French soldiers near this cove. That historical clash established the place name that remains today.
