Botanical Park & Gardens Of Crete.

The Botanical Park spans 20 hectares with a 2.5-kilometer trail winding through sections of tropical plants, Mediterranean flora, fruit trees, and vineyards.

Following the devastating fires of 2003 that destroyed 100,000 olive trees, this land was transformed into a botanical garden preserving local and international plant species.

The garden's restaurant introduces visitors to authentic Cretan cuisine, preparing dishes with ingredients harvested directly from the surrounding gardens and orchards.

Located 18 kilometers from Chania at the White Mountains foothills, the park welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 to 20:30 with adult admission at 8 euros.

The garden maintains a preserved burnt olive tree as a central monument, surrounded by over 150 species of fruit trees and numerous Mediterranean plants.
