Zbiroh, Art Nouveau railway station in Karez, Czech Republic
The former railway station building stands at an elevation of 442 meters between Prague and Plzen, featuring decorative architectural elements throughout its structure.
Built in 1910, this transportation hub served passengers until 2012, when railway operations ceased and the station received cultural monument status.
An Australian musician named Jam acquired the station in 2014, transforming it into a space for international volunteers and creative community projects.
Travelers can reach the station via direct trains from Prague or Plzen, with the Borek bus station located immediately outside the building.
The station restoration project brings together volunteers from different countries who contribute to maintenance tasks while experiencing Czech railway heritage.
