Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home, House museum in Lafayette Square, Savannah, US.
The Victorian residence at 207 East Charlton Street features period furniture, family memorabilia, and a traditional garden designed by Clermont Huger Lee.
From 1925 to 1938, the house served as the childhood residence of American author Mary Flannery O'Connor before the family relocated to Milledgeville.
The Bruckheimer Library within the house contains a collection of rare books that influenced the literary development of the American Southern Gothic author.
The museum offers guided tours from Thursday through Sunday, with admission prices of 8 dollars for adults and 6 dollars for students and military personnel.
At age six, young O'Connor gained local recognition when Pathé News filmed her teaching a chicken to walk backward in the garden of this house.
