Southeast Maluku, Administrative regency in Maluku Province, Indonesia.

Southeast Maluku is an administrative regency in Maluku Province centered on the Kei Islands. The two main landmasses are Kei Besar and Kei Kecil, with Langgur serving as the administrative hub and many smaller islands part of its jurisdiction.

This regency emerged from larger territories of southern islands that once extended from Wetar to the Aru Islands. Later administrative divisions separated these areas, establishing the region's current boundaries.

The regency operates under the motto Larvul Ngabal, which reflects the local traditions and customs of island communities. These values shape daily life and the sense of belonging across the scattered islands.

Karel Sadsuitubun Airport on Kei Kecil Island handles regular air connections to other destinations. Ships connect the numerous islands regularly, making maritime travel the main way to move between communities.

The regency contains around 50 forested islands near Kei Kecil that form a network of natural shelters. These smaller islands receive few visitors but serve as home to rare wildlife and plant species found nowhere else.
