St Peter's Anglican Church, Anglican church in East Maitland, Australia
The decorated gothic style church features numerous artistic elements, including stained glass windows, a pulpit, a font, a reredos, and a Henry Willis pipe organ.
The Foundation Stone was placed on December 12, 1884, by Reverend Alfred Barry, followed by the church dedication for divine service on September 29, 1886.
The church community gathers regularly for worship services, baptisms, weddings, and funerals, serving residents from throughout the Hunter Region.
Located at 47 William Street in East Maitland, the church offers free entry to visitors and maintains facilities with disabled access and parking.
Although designed with plans for a tower and spire, these elements were never constructed due to financial limitations, yet the church remains among New South Wales finest parishes.
