Buildings of St Joseph's College, Nudgee

St Joseph's College buildings span across grounds featuring lawns, sports fields, a chapel, dormitory blocks, and classrooms within a main Renaissance-style structure.

Architect Andrea Stombuco designed the main building in 1890, marking the establishment of Queensland's first purpose-built boarding college for Christian Brothers.

The institution maintains nine separate houses where students participate in activities that strengthen community bonds and develop leadership skills.

The college campus contains 105 classrooms where 147 teachers deliver 2000 weekly lessons to both day students and boarders.

The chapel, constructed between 1914 and 1916 by Thomas Ramsay Hall, follows the decorative patterns of the main building's Italian Renaissance architecture.
