The zoo maintains dedicated spaces for native Hawaiian birds, including the nene geese, supporting local wildlife education and preservation initiatives.
Visitors can access the zoo from 10 AM to 4 PM daily except Christmas, New Year's Day, and first Thursdays, with no admission fee required.
White-handed gibbons, lemurs, and spider monkeys inhabit specialized enclosures within the only natural rainforest zoo setting in the United States.
