St. Michael's parish began in 1781, and the current church structure, completed in 1886, received basilica status from Pope Benedict XVI in 2011.

Located at 19 North Palafox Street, the basilica holds Sunday masses at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, with weekday services Monday through Friday at 12:10 PM.
The basilica organizes an annual 12-day pilgrimage to religious sites across the Czech Republic, Bavaria, and Austria, connecting local faithful with European Catholic heritage.
