MV Tourist No. 2, Ferry ship in Astoria, United States.

The MV Tourist No. 2 operated as a wooden car ferry across the Columbia River, connecting travelers between Oregon and Washington from 1924 to 1966.

During World War II, the United States Army acquired the vessel to lay mines at the mouth of the Columbia River under the designation FB-535.

The vessel represents a period when ferries served as essential transportation links for communities along the Pacific Northwest waterways.

The National Register of Historic Places designation provides opportunities for preservation funding and historical documentation of maritime transportation methods.

After serving multiple roles and names, including Kirkland and Islander of Pierce County, the vessel returned to Astoria in 2016 for restoration efforts.
