The Immaculate Conception Church, constructed in 1932, features Mediterranean Revival architecture with stained glass windows and a bell from Virginia City Firehouse.
Architect Frederic DeLongchamps designed this church after the first Catholic church in Sparks burned down on Easter Sunday in 1930.
The church transitioned from Catholic services to different congregations, including Mount Sinai Assembly of God and Iglesia Cristiana Monte Sinai.
Located at 590 Pyramid Way, the building received accessibility improvements in 1970 with the addition of a vestibule and porch.
The structure stands as one of Northern Nevada's few examples of Mediterranean Revival architecture and holds National Register of Historic Places status.
