Palais Salm, City palace in Landstraße district, Vienna, Austria

The Palais Salm consists of a three-story garden front with a central projection supported by four Corinthian columns leading to a spacious stone balustrade balcony.

Built between 1828 and 1832 by architect Alois Ignaz Göll, the palace replaced a former stable building that belonged to Palais Rasumofsky.

The palace interior contained elaborate painted ceilings and decorative elements that reflected the refined tastes of Viennese aristocratic society in the 19th century.

Located at Salmgasse 2 in Vienna's third district, the palace currently houses private apartments and offices of an architectural firm.

The structure features a Biedermeier courtyard enclosed by single-story buildings and maintains its original heavy wooden paneled grand staircase.
