Hajigabul District

Located in the Shirvan-Salyan Economic Region, Hajigabul District spans 1,640 square kilometers and maintains an elevation of 27 meters above sea level.

The district was established on January 24, 1939, during the Soviet period and underwent several administrative changes before Azerbaijan gained independence in 1991.

The district includes 31 populated areas divided into 15 administrative units, featuring 55 cultural centers that support local traditions and community activities.

Transportation infrastructure includes the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railway line, connecting the district to Turkey and Georgia for passenger and cargo transport.

The Hajigabul Industrial Park houses an automobile manufacturing plant with projected capacity of 30,000 vehicles annually and employment for 1,200 people.
