Chisasibi T.II, Indigenous territory in Nord-du-Québec, Canada

The Cree Nation of Chisasibi extends across 82,818 hectares of land on the eastern shore of James Bay, featuring distinct administrative buildings and residential areas.

Following the James Bay hydroelectric project in the 1970s, the entire community relocated from Fort George Island to the current location on La Grande River's south shore.

The territory maintains strong connections to Cree traditions, with 81 percent of residents speaking Cree as their primary language in daily communications and governance.

The administrative center at 1 Riverside Drive provides essential services to residents during weekday hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing community affairs.

This northernmost road-accessible Cree settlement in eastern North America connects to civilization through a 90-kilometer paved route from the town of Radisson.
