Ma'anshan Yangtze River Bridge, Suspension and cable-stayed bridges in He County and Dangtu County, China
The Ma'anshan Yangtze River Bridge complex stretches 11.2 kilometers across the Yangtze River, incorporating both suspension and cable-stayed sections over two river branches.
Construction of this dual-bridge system began in December 2008 following project approval in 2004, with the official opening taking place on December 31, 2013.
The bridge represents a milestone in Chinese infrastructure development, joining over 75 permanent structures that have transformed transportation across the Yangtze River since 1957.
The six-lane highway bridge rises 178.8 meters above the water and features a main suspension span of 1,080 meters, connecting the Hefei-Chaohu-Maanshan Expressway network.
The left stream section includes three towers supporting two spans of 1,080 meters each, ranking among the longest double-span suspension bridges in the world.
