The Bavariapark spans 6.8 hectares of green space, featuring stone sculptures and oak trees behind the statue of Bavaria and the Ruhmeshalle.
King Ludwig I commissioned the construction of the park between 1825 and 1831, initially naming it Theresienhain before renaming it Bavariapark in 1859.
The park underwent transformation in 1907 with the addition of stone sculptures during its redesign into an English-style garden near Theresienwiese.
The park remains accessible throughout the year and connects to public transportation, serving residents of nearby residential areas and industrial zones.
The construction of Bavariaring road split the park into two distinct sections, fundamentally altering the way visitors access and navigate the space.
