Metropolitankathedrale Hagia Trias, Eastern Orthodox cathedral in Limperich, Germany.
The Metropolitan Cathedral of Agia Trias features ochre-colored brickwork and an octagonal dome built upon a Greek cross floor plan.
The cathedral was constructed in 1976 according to architect Klaus Hönig's plans, who gained expertise during a two-year stay in Crete.
The interior walls display extensive religious artwork by Christophanis Voutsinas, covering 600 square meters with motifs from the Old and New Testament.
The cathedral accommodates 400 people and maintains regular services under the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Diocese of Germany, headquartered in Bonn since 1963.
The interior decoration process extended over 23 years, completed in 2010, making it one of Germany's earliest examples of postmodern religious architecture.
