Irmgardiskapelle

The Irmgardiskapelle stands within a forested area of Süchtelner Höhen, featuring stone wayside pulpits along its earth track approach path.

Records from 1498 document an earlier church at this location, which was destroyed in 1589 before the current structure was built in 1664.

The Irmgardisoktav festival occurs each September, bringing the community together for a traditional procession on the Heiligenberg.

Visitors can access the chapel through forest paths, combining religious exploration with nature walks on the Irmgardispfad trail system.

The chapel connects to Helenenbrunnen spring through a dedicated pilgrim path, creating a network of religious sites in the forest.
