Maria Königin features reddish-brown sandstone walls measuring 80 centimeters in thickness, with a length of 46 meters and width of 34 meters.
The construction of this Catholic church began on May 31, 1956, and architect Rudolf Schwarz completed the project with its consecration on May 31, 1959.
The interior displays Wilhelm Buschulte's stained glass windows from 1963, depicting Marian devotion symbols alongside fourteen relief Stations of the Cross.
The church opens daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with regular services and a dedicated parish office at Schumannstraße 25 for administrative matters.
The building's structure combines two intersecting ellipses of different lengths, incorporating three ellipsoidal chapels that extend from the main building.
