St. Johannis, Lutheran church in Bad Salzelmen, Schönebeck, Germany.

The church features two prominent towers and a three-nave hall with a polygonal apse supported by seventeen buttresses, displaying late Gothic architecture.

Construction began on August 29, 1430, with the foundation stone laid on the west side, and the building process extended over more than one century.

The baroque interior houses a high altar from 1665, depicting sacred history figures, and a baroque pulpit by Maximilian Dreißigmark resting on a gilded palm.

Regular tower climbs during summer months allow visitors to access observation points offering views across the city of Schönebeck.

The towers were initially planned to surpass the height of Magdeburg Cathedral, but archbishop restrictions limited them to half the intended height.
