Egelsee, Artificial lake at Wartberg, Stuttgart, Germany.

Egelsee encompasses 4,500 square meters with a rectangular basin connecting to two circular ponds named Kugelsee and Fontänensee at different elevations.

The lake was constructed between 1992 and 1993 as part of the International Garden Show 1993, integrating water features by sculptor Hans Dieter Bohnet.

The north shore displays synthetic lawns and tree clusters, while the southern edge maintains natural vegetation with reeds and wild shrubs.

Visitors can reach the lake via the Löwentorbrücke tram stop or local bus lines, with water features operating from mid-May through mid-October.

Multiple streams converge at Kunststation Grottenloch, flowing through cascading ponds called Krebsschwanz before entering the main water body.
