Château Grimaldi, Heritage mansion in Puyricard, France.

The current building features seven bays with a central entrance, three floors, and terra cotta pantile roofing within ancient castle walls.

Cardinal Archbishop Girolamo Grimaldi-Cavalleroni rebuilt the structure between 1655 and 1685, transforming the ruins into a residence modeled after Palazzo Farnese.

The former episcopal palace represents architectural transitions from medieval fortress to 17th-century mansion, reflecting regional French aristocratic preferences.

The mansion stands on its original foundations near Aix-en-Provence, with the remaining ancient walls incorporating elements from different construction periods.

The previous palace contained 365 windows divided by pilasters, costing 2 million livre before its demolition with gunpowder in 1709.
