Château de Guilguiffin

Château de Guilguiffin is a castle in Landudec with three stories and a slate-covered roof. The granite facade displays symmetrical window arrangements and numerous dormer windows that shape the building's appearance in the Breton countryside.

The castle was built between 1750 and 1760 under architect Nicolas Pochic and replaced an older manor house on the grounds. It then became the residence of Nicolas Louis de Plœuc and has shaped the property's story since that time.

The castle demonstrates classical French architectural principles through its symmetrical southern facade and carefully positioned windows framed in local granite.

The estate opens its gardens regularly to visitors and offers guided tours on request. The best time to visit is during the plant blooming season, when the gardens appear particularly welcoming.

The gardens hold an impressive collection of spring bulbs and perennial plants that bloom from January through October. This botanical variety means each visit offers a different experience depending on when you arrive.
