Prieuré d'Ardevon

The Ardevon Priory consists of multiple stone buildings centered around a courtyard, including a tithe barn, an abbey residence, and a columbarium.

Founded in 966 by monks from Mont-Saint-Michel, the priory initially served as a refuge before transforming into an abbot's residence in the 14th century.

The priory's tithe barn, constructed around 1400, demonstrates medieval agricultural storage techniques with a capacity of fifteen thousand sheaves of wheat.

The renovated buildings now provide accommodation for fifty pilgrims, featuring dormitories, meeting rooms, and facilities for disabled visitors.

The 13th-century abbot's residence features decorated windows with lancets separated by small columns, reflecting medieval architectural design.
