St. Gobnet's Church Innisheer, Medieval church and national monument in Inisheer, Ireland
The limestone church exhibits a rectangular structure with remaining elements of a beehive hut and three raised stone slabs near its walls.
The religious site dates from the 6th century, with the current stone church construction dating to the 11th or 12th century.
Local traditions connect the church to Saint Gobnait, who sought refuge on Inisheer while escaping from a family dispute in County Clare.
The church maintains its designation as national monument number 41 under Irish preservation laws, ensuring protection of its architectural elements.
Archaeological excavations in 1980 revealed additional structural features, including two bullaun stones used in ancient religious practices.
