Narin Castle, Adobe castle in Meybod, Iran.
The fortress extends across three distinct levels with four defensive towers and stands at a height of 40 meters above ground level.
Dating back between 2,000 to 6,000 years, this fortification has connections to the Medes period and the Achaemenid and Sassanid dynasties of Iran.
The castle's three-tiered structure reflects social hierarchies, with different sections designated for various classes within the ancient Persian community.
Two spiral staircases lead to an upper terrace, while an underground chamber, now filled with debris, exists beneath the structure.
The castle incorporates an advanced plumbing system made from sarooj mortar, integrated directly into its thick earthen walls.
