Santa Cita, Baroque church in Castellammare quarter, Palermo, Italy

The Santa Cita church features a marble polyptych from 1516 by Antonello Gagini and contains numerous altarpieces within its restored interior structure.

Founded by Tuscan merchants in the early 14th century, the church underwent reconstruction in 1583 under Giuseppe Giacalone's designs and received its facade in 1781.

The church houses a Renaissance marble polyptych and the Chapel of the Rosary displays intricate stucco decorations created between 1697 and 1721 by Gioacchino Vitagliano.

Located at Via Squarcialupo 1 in Palermo, the church opens its doors to visitors who wish to examine its architectural details and religious artifacts.

Above the portal in the Chapel of the Rosary stands a statue of a dog at the feet of a globe, representing a vision of Saint Dominic's mother.
