Aula Scarpa, Neoclassical university lecture hall in Pavia, Italy.

The Aula Scarpa features a semicircular layout with five arched windows and marble busts of professors placed in niches along the curved wall.

Architect Leopoldo Pollack designed this anatomical theater in 1785 after Giuseppe Piermarini's initial plans were rejected by Emperor Joseph II.

The ceiling displays a central fresco depicting two female figures representing Medicine and Surgery, holding an Asclepius staff and a surgical scalpel.

The lecture hall contains elevated seating arrangements that allow students to observe anatomical demonstrations and educational presentations from multiple angles.

The walls incorporate frescoes portraying funeral urns and winged figures holding surgical instruments, reflecting the medical purpose of the structure.
