Susaki, Coastal city in Kōchi Prefecture, Japan

Located between Tosa Bay and mountains, Susaki extends across 135 square kilometers with an intricate coastline forming Uranouchi and Susaki bays.

The area belonged to Tosa Province and formed part of the Tosa Domain under Yamauchi clan rule before attaining city status on October 1, 1954.

The municipality operates eight elementary schools, five middle schools, and one public high school, maintaining education standards across different levels.

The city connects to major transportation routes through the Dosan railway line and multiple national highways, including routes 56, 197, and 494.

Susaki introduced Shinjo-kun, a mascot depicting a Japanese river otter wearing a hot pot ramen dish as headwear.
