Mihai Eminescu's statue in Iași, Bronze monument at Carol I Boulevard, Iași, Romania.

The 3.35-meter bronze statue stands on a 5.20-meter pedestal made of Vratsa stone, featuring allegorical figures of Philosophy and Poetry on its sides.

The statue, created by sculptor Ion Schmidt-Faur, was unveiled in 1929 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Romanian poet's death.

Two bronze bas-reliefs near the base illustrate scenes from Eminescu's poems Luceafărul and Doina, representing fundamental works of Romanian literature.

The monument is located at the beginning of Carol I Boulevard, in front of the Central University Library, making it a central meeting point.

In 1946, during the Soviet occupation, authorities removed the nationalistic inscription from Doina that was initially carved into the monument.
