Yakovlevsky District, Belgorod Oblast

Yakovlevsky District extends across 1,089 square kilometers in western Belgorod Oblast, containing three urban settlements and fourteen rural communities.

Following its establishment on January 12, 1965, the district developed from agricultural lands into an organized administrative territory within Belgorod Oblast.

The district maintains a network of 83 rural localities, each preserving traditional Russian farming methods and local customs through generations.

The town of Stroitel functions as the administrative center, housing 41.4 percent of the district's population and primary governmental services.

The district incorporates both urban-type settlements and rural communities, with population records showing substantial growth from 43,704 in 1989 to 57,774 in 2010.
