The two-story frame and rubblestone house features gabled roofs, partial stucco exterior, and shingled sections across its four-bay structure.

The building underwent four major construction phases between 1747 and 1950, starting with a 36 by 20 feet hall and parlor layout.

The family cemetery on the grounds contains the earliest recorded gravestones in Harford County, representing generations of local residents.

Located at 1616 Fountain Green Road in Bel Air, the property extends across 120 acres and includes an 18th-century stone springhouse.

The Federal-style residence combines multiple architectural elements from different periods while maintaining its original hall and parlor configuration.
