Schloss Esterházy, Baroque castle and museum in Eisenstadt, Austria

The Esterházy Palace exhibits grand architectural elements across its facade, including ornate decorations, symmetrical windows, and classical proportions that define its Baroque style.

The palace originated in the 13th century and underwent major transformations in the 18th century under architect Carlo Martino Carlone to create its current Baroque appearance.

The palace features the Haydn Hall, where composer Joseph Haydn performed numerous concerts while serving as the court musician for the Esterházy family.

The palace opens daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM during winter months and until 6:00 PM in summer, with guided tours available in multiple languages.

The palace maintains an extensive collection of historical weapons, featuring over 500 pieces of military equipment from different periods of Austrian history.
